2012 CES Brand Keynote Panel Features Leaders From Top Global Brands

Executives from AT&T, Facebook, GE, Hyundai, MediaLink, Unilever and Walmart Join CES Keynote Lineup


Arlington, Va., December 20, 2012 – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that AT&T's  David Christopher, General Electric's (GE) Beth Comstock, Facebook's Carolyn Everson, Walmart's Stephen Quinn, Hyundai's Steve Shannon and Unilever's Keith Weed will join the 2012 International CES® keynote line-up as participants in the Brand Keynote Panel. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2012 International CES®, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, is scheduled January 10-13, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“These esteemed keynote panelists are from leading corporate brands that embody the true spirit of innovation,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, events and conferences, CEA. “We are thrilled to welcome these marketing leaders to the CES keynote stage and look forward to hearing their visions on global brand strategy.”


The Brand Keynote Panel, scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11 in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater, brings together executives from the world's top brands to discuss marketing and brand strategy on a global scale.
The keynote will be moderated by Michael Kassan, chairman and CEO of MediaLink LLC. Since founding the company in 2004, Kassan has built MediaLink LLC into a leading advisory firm that provides sage counsel to the media, entertainment, and technology industries. MediaLink LLC is also bringing the CMO Club to CES, an exclusive new program to introduce marketing executives to the CE industry and the International CES from an executive level perspective.
David Christopher is the chief marketing officer of mobility and consumer markets for AT&T. He leads the company's wireless and consumer marketing strategy, product management, national promotions and pricing, wireless advertising and media, strategic sponsorships, customer lifecycle management and customer research.
Beth Comstock, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of General Electric, oversees GE's sales, marketing and communications functions, as well as the company's growth and market-innovation initiatives. Comstock is also responsible for the GE-wide business platforms ecomagination, devoted to environmental innovation.
Carolyn Everson is the vice president of global marketing solutions at Facebook, where she leads the global marketing solutions team. She works with the top brands globally to help them leverage the Facebook platform to grow their business.
Stephen Quinn was named executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Walmart U.S. in 2007. He is responsible for Walmart's marketing functions, including customer research, strategy, e-commerce marketing, private brands and customer communications.
Steve Shannon was named vice president of marketing for Hyundai Motor America in April 2011, having previously spent more than 25 years at General Motors. Shannon oversees all of Hyundai's marketing activities within the United States.
Keith Weed is chief marketing and communications officer of Unilever responsible for Unilever's marketing, communications and sustainability functions. He also leads the Unilever Corporate Brand and Unilever’s global water business functions.
